I’ve been teaching English in Japan for over 19 years. I grew up in the rolling, corn field-rich hills of Pennsylvania, a 90 minute drive from New York City. I live with my wife, two teenagers, mother-in-law, and two cats in Matsubase. I like exercising, watching shows, and reading stuff online. And I like my students. Watching them make progress is extremely satisfying. Before I came to Japan, I got an M.A. in philosophy in Belgium and then taught high school social studies for three years.
